MERINO WOOL - Made for the golf course.

At Forrest Golf we really love Australian made Merino Wool. Merino sheep are shorn once or twice a year and regrow their fleece, all fueled by clean air, water and grass. Wool is biodegradable, unlike many other yarns used for clothing.

The merino yarn used to knit our garment fabric is certified non-mulesed. The fine micron yarn ensures that the fabric is soft and light and can be worn all year around. The merino wool fibre is fuzz free and feels luxurious to the skin.

We make our garments in Australia and we are really proud that we can partner with an Australian supplier to use locally knitted, dyed and finished wool and organic cotton further enhancing the high quality of our garments.

Merino wool is the perfect activewear fabrication. Over thousands of years the sheep fleece has evolved to be an effective barrier against sun, rain, heat and cold.  Wool is UV resistant and breathes. Cool when it’s hot, and warm when it’s cold, wool self regulates with temperature. The wool fibre is naturally designed to be moisture wicking. It is anti bacterial and odour resisitant. The fibre is elastic and perfect for movement.

Most importantly Merino wool is easy care, it doesn’t wrinkle too much, doesn’t pick up stains easily and is machine washable and is able to be tumble dried following our care instructions.

A perfect fabric for on the course but equally for a smart social event.
